On Thursday, August 25, 2022, the Inspirasi Indonesia Membangun Foundation (YIIM), in collaboration with the South Jakarta Administrative City’s Office of Women’s Empowerment, Child Protection, and Population Control (PPAPP), Jakpreneur, and PT Pegadaian, organized a webinar themed “Jakpreneur Upgrading Socialization”.

This webinar was held via the ZOOM application and was attended by 50 participants, including beneficiaries who are alumni of YIIM’s social entrepreneurship training and MSME actors fostered by Jakpreneur under the South Jakarta PPAPP Office. This webinar is part of a series of events resulting from the cooperation between YIIM and the South Jakarta Administrative City Government, which began with a meeting at the South Jakarta Mayor’s Office on June 9, 2022.

The event was opened with remarks from Drs. Fathur Rohim, M.Si (Head of South Jakarta PPAPP Office) and was attended by 5 speakers: Chrisbiantoro, SH, LL.M (Chairman of YIIM’s Board), Bella F. F. (Marketing Officer at PT Pegadaian), Nanang Kurniawan (Jakpreneur Facilitator for Pasar Minggu), Pangestu Rahardjo (Jakpreneur Facilitator for Cilandak), and Guntur Pratama P. (Jakpreneur Facilitator for Pesanggrahan).

As the opening of the event, Mr. Fathur Rohim stated, “Thank you for the support from the Inspirasi Indonesia Membangun Foundation, Pegadaian Persero, and the Jakpreneur facilitators in every sub-district. We dedicate this Jakpreneur upgrading socialization event to our MSME beneficiaries in every sub-district and YIIM’s beneficiaries as well. We hope it will be beneficial.”

Furthermore, Mr. Chrisbiantoro conveyed, “In 2014, the Inspirasi Indonesia Membangun Foundation (YIIM) was established. Since 2018, YIIM has initiated community economic empowerment programs through social entrepreneurship, with a total of 2,626 alumni, 71 of whom are business actors with DKI Jakarta ID cards. This webinar is highly beneficial for our alumni to be able to upgrade together with the Jakpreneur program.”

Then, Ms. Bella delivered her message, “PT Pegadaian Persero is very pleased to be able to share in this Jakpreneur upgrading socialization forum. We always support all efforts of MSME actors to continue to advance. Coincidentally, our program includes a capital access program with low interest and without collateral that MSME actors can utilize.”

Mr. Nanang Kurniawan, representing the Jakpreneur program facilitators, also explained, “Jakpreneur is a DKI Jakarta provincial program that facilitates and collaborates on MSME development through a business ecosystem. In this webinar, we will share with our Jakpreneur MSME beneficiaries about how to upgrade by learning about materials such as capital access, E-order, and halal permits.”

This program is also in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly goal number 1 to end poverty and goal number 8 to promote inclusive and sustainable economic growth and decent work for all.

The webinar lasted for two hours, from 08:00 WIB to 12:00 WIB, where participants learned a lot about the material on the Jakpreneur program socialization, capital access, E-order, and halal certification licensing.

With the implementation of this webinar, YIIM hopes that the spirit of social entrepreneurship can inspire the broader community, especially that the collaboration between civil society movements and government economic empowerment programs, particularly Jakpreneur, can be sustained, so that more people at the grassroots level are driven to improve their economic conditions.

Salam Inspirasi!
