Nutritious Prepared Meal Packages Distribution for Waste Pickers in Kampung Sumur Utara
YIIM and PT Insight Investments Management distributed hundreds of nutritious ready-to-eat meal packs to waste pickers, micro-vendors, and disadvantaged residents in Kampung Sumur Utara, Klender, Duren Sawit, East Jakarta.

On September 26, 2020, Yayasan Inspirasi Indonesia Membangun (YIIM), in collaboration with PT Insight Investments Management, conducted a humanitarian outreach distributing nutritious ready-to-eat meals to vulnerable community members affected by Covid-19 along Jalan Pemancingan Bahri, Kampung Sumur Utara, RT 07/RW 10 Klender, Duren Sawit District, East Jakarta City, DKI Jakarta Province.
During this social service, YIIM and PT Insight distributed 16 (sixteen) nutritious prepared meal boxes alongside 16 varieties of wholesome snack packs to local families whose primary livelihoods depend on waste scavenging, home-based micro-vending, and precarious casual daily labor.
Ratih Puspita, representing YIIM during the direct handover, stated: "We are deeply grateful for the opportunity to share with the residents here. We hope this nutritious food assistance provides immediate sustenance and helps bolster physical health for families navigating hardships during the Covid-19 pandemic."
Expressing the community’s gratitude, Ibu Pampam, a local resident, noted: "This food support is truly helpful for us. Looking ahead, we earnestly hope that underprivileged community members like us can also receive entrepreneurship training opportunities organized by YIIM and PT Insight so we can build sustainable self-reliance."
This meal distribution forms part of a continuing series of emergency humanitarian programs launched by YIIM and PT Insight Investments Management since June 2020, aimed at easing economic strain among marginalized communities and collaborating with governmental efforts to counter the socioeconomic fallout of Covid-19.
Previous collaborative relief initiatives undertaken by YIIM and PT Insight include delivering disinfectant supplies through PMI South Jakarta, distributing 5,000 tailored cloth masks and 1,000 medical PPE sets, providing educational internet quotas and school stationery for educators and students across Greater Jakarta (Jabodetabek), providing food aid for informal daily workers, and conducting extensive relief convoys to remote provinces including East Nusa Tenggara, Papua, and Bali. These compassionate programs will continue to reach underserved regions across the archipelago.
Salam Inspirasi!
