Online Healthy Preservative-Free Chicken Noodle Training: Sharing Culinary Business Skills During Pandemic Restrictions
Yayasan Inspirasi Indonesia Membangun (YIIM) collaborated with Sri Wahyuni, a culinary training alumna and enterprise grant recipient, to conduct an online cooking workshop on producing healthy, preservative-free chicken noodles for aspiring entrepreneurs.

On Saturday, July 17, 2021, from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM WIB, a virtual culinary workshop on crafting preservative-free healthy chicken noodles was conducted by Sri Wahyuni, an accomplished culinary alumna of YIIM who successfully established her own enterprise.
Sri Wahyuni is an alumna of the culinary arts course and an enterprise grant recipient from Yayasan Inspirasi Indonesia Membangun (YIIM) and PT Insight Investments Management (INSIGHT) in 2020. Today, as the thriving owner of "Mie Ayam Inspirasi," she was inspired to pay forward her knowledge to the public through peer-to-peer culinary mentoring.
This knowledge-sharing masterclass led by Sri Wahyuni exemplifies the principle of sustainability embedded in YIIM and INSIGHT’s vocational programs. Through this cascading empowerment model, benefits do not conclude upon graduation; rather, alumni actively multiply skills across wider communities.
This training program aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), notably SDG 1: No Poverty and SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth.
In compliance with government directives on Emergency Public Activity Restrictions (PPKM Darurat) from July 3 to July 20, 2021, the session was hosted virtually via Zoom Cloud Meetings to prevent in-person contact and gathering risks. Digital culinary training has proven highly viable and widely adopted by professional culinary educators before and during the pandemic in Indonesia.
Previously in 2020, YIIM also collaborated with Titan Baking to conduct virtual cooking classes in response to high community demand. These digital classes during the pandemic provide practical relief for families experiencing economic distress and job losses, catalyzing the growth of new Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) nationwide.
The workshop was officially opened by YIIM representative Mr. Satoto Biratmoko. In his opening address, he stated:
"We hope this online healthy chicken noodle class led by Mrs. Sri Wahyuni, an alumna of YIIM and PT Insight Investments Management, proves genuinely beneficial for the community, especially amidst the severe economic pressures of this pandemic. Although delivered virtually, we trust that the depth of practical knowledge shared by Mrs. Sri Wahyuni will be fully absorbed by all participants."
The training was attended by 21 participants from diverse backgrounds, including laid-off workers, underprivileged community members, homemakers, private employees, and students.
Throughout the session, Sri Wahyuni demonstrated formulas and hands-on preparation for preservative-free noodles enriched with natural fresh vegetable and fruit extracts for natural coloring. In addition to dough production techniques, she shared practical tips on opening a home-based noodle stall, capital budgeting, and customer service strategies.
Despite being held in a virtual classroom, participant engagement was exceptionally high. The discussion was lively as attendees consulted actively on ingredient ratios, natural noodle shelf-life management, and digital marketing tips.
Sri Wahyuni’s generous knowledge-sharing initiative is envisioned to inspire fellow YIIM and PT Insight Investments Management entrepreneurship alumni to actively share their capabilities with society. YIIM remains welcoming to community members and partner organizations eager to support grassroots empowerment initiatives, such as courses in culinary arts, AC maintenance, garment screen printing, coffee barista skills, cosmetology, and barbering.
Salam Inspirasi!
