On 30 April 2021, Yayasan Inspirasi Indonesia Membangun (YIIM), supported by its main partner PT. Insight Investments Management (INSIGHT), distributed assistance in the form of Qurans, Iqra books, prayer mats, and staple food packages to the An-Nur Orphanage, located at Jalan Bumi Pancoran Mas No. 27, RT. 03 / RW. 12, Mampang, Pancoran Mas District, Depok City, West Java.

This activity was part of the series of events titled “Inspirasi Ramadhan Untuk Kemanusiaan” (Inspiration of Ramadan for Humanity), a program carried out throughout the month of Ramadan, driven by the spirit of spreading inspiration and sharing goodness during the holy month.

Previously, YIIM and INSIGHT had also collaborated on a series of activities during the holy month of Ramadan, including providing worship equipment for persons with disabilities and distributing food and takjil to informal workers.

This program demonstrates INSIGHT’s commitment as an investment management company with a strong concern for social and humanitarian causes.

The An-Nur Orphanage currently cares for 20 children who live at the facility. They come from pre-prosperous families and are orphans or semi-orphans. These children receive formal education up to the high school/vocational high school level. The children at the orphanage come not only from Jakarta and Depok but also from remote areas such as Flores, Medan, Purwakarta, Lampung, and others.

The assistance provided consisted of 10 Qurans, 10 Iqra books, 20 prayer mats, and staple food packages including rice, instant noodles, eggs, cooking oil, sardines, biscuits, and milk.

This assistance is also aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal Number 2 to end hunger and Goal Number 10 to reduce inequality.

The assistance was handed over directly by the Secretary of YIIM’s Board, Mrs. Dewi Astari, and received by the Head of the An-Nur Orphanage, Mrs. Halimah.

During the distribution, Mrs. Halimah expressed her gratitude: “Thank you for the assistance provided by YIIM and PT. Insight Investments Management. This help is very beneficial for our foster children. During this pandemic, donations to our orphanage have decreased considerably, but we continue to strive to provide the best for our foster children. May this be a blessing for everyone.”

Meanwhile, a representative from INSIGHT, Dwi Laksmi Anggita Sari, commonly known as Githa, expressed her hope that this assistance would be useful and support the children’s worship activities at the orphanage. “May this assistance bring benefit and blessings. We, together with YIIM, are proud to be able to contribute, especially during this month of Ramadan.”

As a non-profit institution, YIIM is open to all parties who wish to support or make donations in any form. Every donation given to YIIM will be distributed directly to eligible beneficiaries, including pre-prosperous communities, communities affected by Covid-19, correctional inmates, and other vulnerable groups.
