On August 4, 2023, Yayasan Inspirasi Indonesia Membangun (YIIM), in collaboration with the Kauny Quran Academy, initiated the Al-Qur’an Teacher Standardization and Certification Training program utilizing the Kauny method. The two-day offline intensive training took place from August 26 to August 27, 2023, at the SMPIT Al-Huda Hall on Jalan Jenderal Ahmad Yani, Tanjung Harapan, East Sebatik District, Nunukan Regency, North Kalimantan Province.

A total of 30 Al-Qur’an teachers participated in the training, representing Islamic schools, kindergartens (TK), Al-Qur’an education centers (TPA), and women’s religious study groups (Majelis Taklim) from the border region of East Sebatik District. This initiative demonstrates the concrete Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) commitment of PT Insight Investments Management (INSIGHT), which sets aside a portion of its revenues to support humanitarian and social causes, particularly in education.

Furthermore, the initiative embodies the corporate ethos of “Transforming Investments Into Social Impact,” ensuring investment activities generate tangible positive transformation and social advancement.

During the gathering, Ustadz Asep Suryana remarked, “The participants took part in the Al-Qur’an Teacher standardization training with tremendous dedication. Alhamdulillah, within a short period, they were already able to memorize verses 1 to 16 of Surah Ar-Rahman. Following this offline session, we will continue our guidance through regular online training sessions via Zoom. Our sincere gratitude goes to YIIM and PT INSIGHT for enabling this training to reach the frontier border area of Sebatik Island.”

On a separate occasion, Chrisbiantoro, Chairman of Yayasan Inspirasi Indonesia Membangun (YIIM), stated, “The Al-Qur’an Teacher standardization training reflects the steadfast commitment of YIIM and PT Insight Investments Management. We hope this training brings lasting benefits and creates positive momentum for social progress.”

Similarly, Burhanuddin, Head of the Al-Huda Foundation, expressed his gratitude in his welcoming address, “I extend my deepest appreciation to PT INSIGHT and YIIM for selecting Sebatik Island as the project location. The participants showed incredible enthusiasm—within just a few hours, they successfully memorized Surah Nuh.”

As part of the continuous follow-up plan, Kauny Quran Academy alongside YIIM and PT INSIGHT will monitor and sustain the learning process of Kauny-method Al-Qur’an teacher standardization through regular online Zoom meetings.

This initiative aligns with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 17: Partnerships for the Goals.
