Qurban Meat Distribution to Support Nutritional Security in Layuh Village Hulu Sungai Tengah
Yayasan Inspirasi Indonesia Membangun (YIIM), supported by PT Insight Investments Management in partnership with BAZNAS, delivered a sacrificial cow for underprivileged communities in the border region of North Kalimantan during Eid al-Adha.

On June 18, 2024, coinciding with the celebration of Eid al-Adha 2024, Yayasan Inspirasi Indonesia Membangun (YIIM), through its Humanitarian, Social, and Religious Program supported by PT Insight Investments Management (Insight Investments), distributed sacrificial livestock consisting of one cow valued at IDR 21,000,000 (twenty-one million Indonesian rupiah), carried out with the assistance of implementing partner Badan Amil Zakat Nasional (BAZNAS).
This program represents the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and environmental stewardship (TJSL) carried out by Insight Investments for the public. The initiative aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially SDG 1: No Poverty in all its forms everywhere, SDG 2: Zero Hunger, and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals.
YIIM alongside Insight Investments shared blessings with disadvantaged individuals, orphaned children, and other vulnerable populations in need, particularly in underdeveloped, frontier, and outermost (3T) regions, while supporting the government’s 2024 zero stunting initiative. The sacrificial meat was distributed to residents in Layuh Village, Batu Benawa District, Hulu Sungai Tengah Regency, North Kalimantan. The key outcome achieved was meeting the essential dietary nutritional and animal protein requirements of beneficiaries.
In an official statement, BAZNAS RI noted that Qurbani is a social act of worship with meaningful economic dimensions aimed at fulfilling the nutritional needs of eligible recipients (*mustahik*). Qurbani is not merely an individual religious obligation for Muslims, but also a tangible contribution to community empowerment, particularly supporting local smallholder farmers. Kurban Berkah BAZNAS also seeks to enhance fresh meat consumption among underprivileged recipients to assist in fulfilling nutritional needs, particularly animal protein.
In 2024, BAZNAS once again carried out its Qurbani program under the theme “Kurban Berkah BAZNAS”. This marks the continued trust placed in BAZNAS by the public, individual donors (*muzaki*), and corporations to collaborate in executing sacrificial programs. BAZNAS invites broader partners to synergize in performing Qurbani and distributing infaq and corporate CSR funds through Kurban Berkah BAZNAS 2024.
This program reflects the spirit of Insight Investments in transforming investment into positive social impact and the spirit of YIIM in spreading inspiration to mobilize positive energy for building a better Indonesia.
YIIM is a non-profit organization dedicated to assisting people from various walks of life, established by social and humanitarian advocates. To advance this mission, YIIM remains receptive to collaboration across all sectors to ensure aid is distributed directly to beneficiaries in need.
Salam Inspirasi!
