On Monday, April 1, 2024, the Inspirasi Indonesia Membangun Foundation (YIIM), supported by PT Insight Investments Management (INSIGHT), organized a social assistance initiative during the month of Ramadan under the theme “Gempita Ramadhan” for orphaned and underprivileged students (santri) at the Fajar Cendikia Islamic Boarding School located at Jl. H Misan No 28, RT 02/RW 06, Jatiluhur Village, Jatiasih District, Bekasi City, West Java.

The Ramadan social assistance included the distribution of 100 iftar food packages (takjil), 100 boxed meals, 100 iced milk coffees from Emphatee Coffee, and 100 cups of tea for the breaking of fast; 1 basic food package consisting of sugar, cooking oil, rice, instant noodles, soy sauce, soap, shampoo, dish soap, snacks, and other items; 20 sets of prayer supplies including sarongs, prayer veils (mukena), prayer mats, and caps (peci); as well as financial support for 20 orphaned and underprivileged students at Fajar Cendikia Islamic Boarding School.

The event was attended by Mrs. Riccana Rosita, Treasurer of YIIM, Ustad Juanda representing the management of Fajar Cendikia Islamic Boarding School, and 60 orphaned and underprivileged students from the institution.

In her remarks, Mrs. Riccana Rosita stated:

“This Ramadan social activity is routinely carried out by YIIM and INSIGHT in order to assist communities in need. Although it may not be much, we hope that this assistance can provide some relief for the basic needs at Fajar Cendekia Islamic Boarding School.”

Furthermore, a representative from the management of Fajar Cendikia Islamic Boarding School added:

“We are deeply grateful to YIIM and INSIGHT for their support. God willing, this assistance will be very beneficial for the basic needs of our boarding school.”

This event aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG Number 2 concerning Zero Hunger.

This Ramadan social assistance program marks the beginning of a series of activities for the 2023 Ramadan program themed “Gempita Ramadhan,” which has also taken place in several locations across DKI Jakarta Province, Depok City, Bekasi City, Yogyakarta, and Madura. Various activities have been implemented, including sharing iftar packages, takjil, financial support, basic food packages, prayer supplies, free AC cleaning and servicing at mosques, Islamic boarding schools, and orphanages, as well as free haircuts.

YIIM, as a non-profit organization, is open to support and collaboration with various parties to ensure that more people can benefit from YIIM’s programs and that the inspiration YIIM spreads can contribute further to building Indonesia.
