Ramadhan Compassion: Worship Kits Distribution, Orphan Aid, and Fast-Breaking Gathering at Pondok Yatama Annur
YIIM and PT Insight Investments Management distributed hundreds of iftar meals, 30 complete prayer kits, and educational cash aid to 28 orphan students during a communal fast-breaking event at Pondok Yatama Annur, West Jakarta.
On Wednesday, April 3, 2024, the Yayasan Inspirasi Indonesia Membangun (YIIM), supported by PT Insight Investments Management (INSIGHT), organized a social assistance event during the month of Ramadhan under the theme ‘Gempita Ramadhan’ for orphaned and underprivileged students at Pondok Yatama Annur, West Jakarta.
The Ramadhan social assistance consisted of distributing 100 iftar snack packages (takjil), 100 boxed meals, 100 iced milk coffee drinks from Emphatee Coffee, 30 sets of prayer supplies including sarongs, prayer veils (mukena), prayer mats, and caps; as well as donations totaling 28 million rupiah for orphaned and underprivileged students at Pondok Yatama Annur.
During its implementation, the event was attended by YIIM Program Implementation Staff, students from the Nahdlatul Ulama Student Association (Ikatan Pelajar Nahdlatul Ulama), the management of Yatama Annur, as well as orphaned and underprivileged students and the surrounding community in the Pondok Yatama Annur area.
Furthermore, a representative from the management of Pondok Yatama Annur added:
“We are extremely grateful to YIIM and INSIGHT for their assistance, thank you very much for taking care of our foundation. We hope this collaboration can continue well into the future.”
This event aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) program, specifically SDG Number 2, which focuses on ending hunger.
This Ramadhan social assistance program marks the beginning of a series of programs for the 2024 Ramadhan month under the ‘Gempita Ramadhan’ theme, which has been held in several locations across DKI Jakarta province, Depok City, Bekasi City, Yogyakarta, and Madura. Various activities have been carried out, including: sharing iftar meals, takjil, financial support, basic food necessities, prayer supplies, free AC cleaning and servicing at mosques, Islamic boarding schools (pesantren), and orphanages, as well as free haircuts.
As a non-profit organization, YIIM is open to support and collaboration with various parties to ensure more people can benefit from YIIM’s programs and to expand the inspiration YIIM can spread to help build Indonesia.
