Yayasan Inspirasi Indonesia Membangun (YIIM), through its Humanitarian, Social, and Religious Program backed by Insight Investments Management (INSIGHT), continuously provides social and religious support to communities. One meaningful initiative is the renovation assistance for house-of-worship facilities at Musholla Attarbiatul Islamiyah Garubuek, located in Jorong Panyalai, Nagari Cupak, Gunung Talang District, Solok Regency, West Sumatra Province.

This initiative forms an integral component of YIIM’s Humanitarian, Social, and Religious Program, aligning with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially SDG 3: Ensure Healthy Lives and Promote Well-Being for All at All Ages, and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals. The project also embodies the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and environmental stewardship (TJSL) programs of Insight Investments Management for the public.

Musholla Attarbiatul Islamiyah Garubuek previously suffered from deteriorating ablution and restroom facilities characterized by damaged drainage, in urgent need of repair. However, repairs had stalled due to limited local funds. The degraded condition posed physical safety hazards to congregants and compromised environmental sanitation. The renovation of the toilet and ablution facilities was urgently needed by local residents for their daily worship, particularly with the holy month of Ramadan approaching.

Renovation activities commenced on February 19, 2024, and reached completion on March 11, 2024. The support delivered consisted of financial grant funding amounting to IDR 41,000,000 (forty-one million Indonesian rupiah) provided to the committee of Musholla Attarbiatul Islamiyah Garubuek. The grant was utilized for the procurement of construction materials and structural phases, including sand, stone, cement, ceramic tiles, rebar, lighting fixtures, PVC piping, water faucets, gravel, and related supplies.

Before the renovation, the walls suffered from faded paint, several floor tiles were cracked and covered with slippery moss that posed hazards to worshippers, and the toilets were in poor condition. Following the renovation, the ablution walls have been neatly tiled, the floors repaired and retiled, and the restrooms fully restored to hygienic, highly functional conditions. Currently, as many as 350 households benefit directly from the renewed facilities supported by YIIM and Insight Investments Management.

Ms. Ratnima Yulianti, representing the committee of Musholla Attarbiatul Islamiyah Garubuek, stated: “Alhamdulillah for the renovation assistance provided by YIIM and PT Insight Investments Management. Currently in this month of Ramadan, the ablution and toilet facilities can be comfortably utilized by our community, and the residents are very happy. On behalf of the congregants of Musholla Attarbiatul Islamiyah Garubuek, I express our gratitude to YIIM and PT Insight Investments. May this assistance become a multiplied reward and continue to inspire benevolence across society.”
