Second Phase Emergency Relief Distribution for Flash Flood Evacuees at Parek Walang Shelter, Lembata
Yayasan Inspirasi Indonesia Membangun (YIIM), supported by PT Insight Investments Management (INSIGHT), distributed phase two emergency logistics relief to 301 displaced flash flood survivors at Posko Kebun Warga in Ile Ape District, Lembata Regency, East Nusa Tenggara.

On April 24, 2021, Yayasan Inspirasi Indonesia Membangun (YIIM), supported by its primary partner PT Insight Investments Management (INSIGHT), rolled out a second phase of humanitarian emergency relief for communities displaced by flash floods in Lembata Regency, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT).
The relief distribution was centered at the Posko Kebun Warga shelter located within the Parek Walang plantation, Ile Ape District, Lembata Regency. This makeshift camp housed 87 families totaling 301 displaced individuals, comprising 27 elderly persons, 13 infants and toddlers, 11 nursing mothers, with the remainder being adults and youths.
The humanitarian cargo included rice, eggs, instant noodles, cooking oil, milk, household goods, nutritional supplies for infants and nursing mothers, as well as specialized milk for the elderly. Evacuees welcomed the supplies with great relief and enthusiasm, as the evacuation site had not yet received state relief assistance. The survivors urgently need humanitarian solidarity, with clean water and illumination equipment representing the most pressing priorities, as residents currently rely solely on kerosene lamps and makeshift torches.
This emergency relief mission aligns directly with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 2: Zero Hunger, aimed at averting severe food insecurity among disaster survivors.
Field distribution was coordinated by local humanitarian activist Feldin Rano Kellen, who shared, "The surviving community expresses profound gratitude to YIIM and PT Insight for the support provided. Right now, this assistance is critically needed by the displaced residents. May YIIM and INSIGHT be richly blessed."
Reaffirming the initiative’s humanitarian intent, Dwi Laksmi Anggita Sari (Gita), representative of INSIGHT, conveyed her organization’s solidarity: "PT Insight takes great pride in being able to assist communities stricken by disaster. We hope our spirit will inspire other elements across the nation to take action."
Earlier, on April 20, 2021, YIIM and PT Insight completed their first phase of relief distribution for flash flood victims stationed at the SMP 1 Nubatukan evacuation post in Nubatukan District, East Nusa Tenggara.
As a non-profit humanitarian foundation, Yayasan Inspirasi Indonesia Membangun remains fully accessible to all individuals and corporate entities wishing to extend aid. Every contribution received is channeled directly to rightful recipients—including economically disadvantaged households, Covid-19 affected groups, and natural disaster survivors—to foster resilience and national recovery.
