On Thursday, March 28, 2024, the Inspirasi Indonesia Membangun Foundation (YIIM), supported by PT Insight Investments Management (INSIGHT), held a social event sharing iftar packages, takjil, and free haircuts during the month of Ramadan under the theme Gempita Ramadhan for the residents of Pondok Pinang scavenger village, located at Gang Kenanga, Jl. Kenanga, RT 01/RW 08, Pondok Pinang, Kebayoran Lama District, South Jakarta, DKI Jakarta.

This Ramadan social event distributed 100 boxes of rice for breaking the fast, 100 takjil packages, 100 glasses of palm sugar milk coffee from emphatee coffee, and free haircuts for 25 scavenger residents. The event also involved 2 alumni of the barbershop training program fostered by YIIM-PT INSIGHT: Ageng Patmoko (2018 training alumnus/Owner of Optima 73 Barbershop) and Anang Ardiansyah (2023 training alumnus/Employee of Barbercut Barbershop).

Meanwhile, Mr. Chrisbiantoro as the Chairman of the YIIM Management Board stated:

“We hope this assistance of iftar and takjil packages as well as free haircuts can somewhat ease the burden for the residents of the Pondok Pinang scavenger village. This event is a routine activity held during the month of Ramadan, hopefully this program will always bring blessings around us.”

Furthermore, a representative from the residents of Pondok Pinang scavenger village at Gang Kenanga, added:

“We are very grateful to YIIM and PT INSIGHT for the assistance of iftar and takjil packages as well as free haircuts.”

This event aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) program, specifically SDG Number 2 on Zero Hunger.

This Ramadan social assistance program is the initial part of a series of programs for the month of Ramadan in 2023 under the theme Gempita Ramadhan, which has taken place in several locations in the DKI Jakarta province, Depok City, Yogyakarta, and Madura. Various forms of activities have been carried out, including; sharing iftar packages, takjil, donations, basic food items, worship equipment, free AC cleaning and servicing at mosques and orphanages, and free haircuts.

YIIM as a non-profit organization is open to support and collaboration with various parties so that more people can benefit from YIIM’s programs and the inspiration YIIM spreads to help build Indonesia can reach even further.
