On August 17, 2023, the Inspirasi Indonesia Membangun Foundation (YIIM) together with Dharmawanita of Carenang District, Banten Province, held a discussion to prepare for the upcoming social entrepreneurship training program to be implemented in Carenang, Banten. The implementation of this social entrepreneurship training program is aligned with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Number 1 on ending poverty, Number 8 on decent work and economic growth, and Number 17 on partnerships for the goals.

Previously, YIIM and PT Insight Investments Management (INSIGHT) had collaborated with Dharmawanita of Carenang District, Banten Province, to implement a financial management literacy and entrepreneurship management program on June 19, 2023, at the Carenang District Hall, Banten. (see here).

To enhance the knowledge and skills of the Carenang community, YIIM and INSIGHT, together with Dharmawanita of Carenang District, Banten, have discussed organizing various social entrepreneurship trainings for the people of Carenang District, Banten. At the same time, the YIIM team also attended the August 17 ceremony organized by the Carenang District Government, held at the Carenang District Office, located in Panenjoan Village, Carenang District, Serang Regency, Banten.

This discussion was attended by Mrs. Alvinna Ammir, Chairperson of Dharmawanita of Carenang District, Banten; Mr. Arif Roikhan, Head of Carenang District, Banten; and Achmad Fanani Rosyidi, Program Manager at YIIM.

During this discussion, Mrs. Alvinna Ammir, Chairperson of Dharmawanita of Carenang District, Banten, stated, “I hope that the upcoming social entrepreneurship training will improve the skills and capabilities of the Carenang community. This way, the community will be able to generate income, and from that income, they can support their families and save money from their earnings.”

Achmad Fanani Rosyidi, Program Manager at YIIM, also stated, “YIIM and INSIGHT continue to strive to help Carenang District improve the welfare of the Carenang community by organizing this social entrepreneurship training. We hope that YIIM, INSIGHT, and Carenang District can continue to collaborate with the aim of improving the local economy and making the community economically independent.”

In addition to the discussions for the social entrepreneurship training program, YIIM also participated in a used clothing recycling activity with Cahaya Cinta Carenang. This activity was an ecoprint training using plants such as flowers and leaves on used clothing as a medium.
