On Friday, May 7, 2021, Yayasan Inspirasi Indonesia Membangun (YIIM), alongside its steadfast partner PT Insight Investments Management (INSIGHT), advanced its humanitarian outreach under the “Ramadan Inspiration for Humanity” initiative.

On this occasion, YIIM and INSIGHT welcomed the Deputy Speaker of the People’s Consultative Assembly of the Republic of Indonesia (MPR RI) and Member of Commission III of the House of Representatives (DPR RI), H. Arsul Sani, S.H., M.Si., for a national civic dialogue and grassroots charity distribution.

This initiative reinforced civic collaboration around the Four Pillars of the Nation: Pancasila, the 1945 Constitution, the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI), and Bhinneka Tunggal Ika (Unity in Diversity). Previously, Mr. Arsul Sani had also expressed support for YIIM’s empowerment initiatives through an official YouTube message.

The activity directly supports the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), notably Goal 2: Zero Hunger and Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals.

The event was attended by alumni representatives from YIIM and INSIGHT’s vocational programs, including AC repair, barbering, culinary arts, makeup, and screen printing. To prevent Covid-19 transmission, the on-site session observed strict health protocols with limited attendance, mandatory masking, social distancing, hand sanitizing, and no physical handshakes, while broader alumni networks joined interactively via Zoom.

Representing INSIGHT, President Commissioner of PT Insight Investments Management, Mr. AAG Wisnu Wardhana, was present. Representing YIIM were Board Chairman Chrisbiantoro and YIIM Trustee Dr. Mery T.P. Hutagalung.

The proceedings commenced with the arrival of Mr. H. Arsul Sani at 15:30 WIB at YIIM’s headquarters located in Grand Wijaya Center, Block F/62B, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta.

Following initial greetings, Mr. Arsul Sani proceeded to the bus stop outside Grand Wijaya to inaugurate a free haircutting drive for local residents and app-based drivers, performed by YIIM barber alumni. He also joined in handing out takjil and freshly cooked meal packages to informal workers throughout the neighborhood.

The formal dialogue was opened by YIIM Chairman Chrisbiantoro, followed by welcoming remarks from YIIM Trustee Dr. Mery T.P. Hutagalung and INSIGHT President Commissioner AAG Wisnu Wardhana.

As keynote speaker, Mr. Arsul Sani commended YIIM and INSIGHT: “I convey my highest appreciation for YIIM’s programs—ranging from barista to AC servicing trainings—which reach vulnerable demographics including former correctional clients, crime victims, and underprivileged citizens. Through collaborative synergy between civil society and government institutions, we can broaden positive community impact across the nation.”

In response, YIIM Chairman Chrisbiantoro emphasized: “YIIM’s programs harmonize with the Four Pillars of the Nation. As part of civil society, we stand ready to synergize with state authorities to empower more underserved citizens.”

Founded by humanitarian and social advocates, YIIM remains committed to collaborating with institutional partners and donors to channel resources to those in need across Indonesia.

Salam Inspirasi!
