Clean Apparel and Protective Gear Handover for Frontline Healthcare Workers at Wisma Atlet
YIIM and PT Insight Investments Management distributed wearable clothing packages to 160 frontline medical workers treating patients at the Wisma Atlet Emergency Hospital in Kemayoran, Jakarta, supporting Covid-19 relief efforts.

Yayasan Inspirasi Indonesia Membangun (YIIM), in continuing partnership with PT Insight Investments Management, delivered targeted humanitarian assistance to support frontline healthcare workers combating Covid-19 at the Wisma Atlet Covid-19 Emergency Hospital in Kemayoran, Jakarta.
Under this initiative, YIIM provided clean, comfortable change clothing to 160 medical personnel caring directly for Covid-19 patients at the emergency medical facility.
These clean garments addressed an acute need among doctors and nurses stationed at Wisma Atlet, who encountered severe obstacles in accessing fresh apparel because they remained on continuous hospital duty and could not return home to prevent transmission risks to their families.
Since the onset of the pandemic, YIIM has played an active role in emergency response and public health education. Earlier interventions included supplying 1,000 sets of certified medical Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) procured through the Indonesian Hospital Association (PERSI), with an investment value of IDR 100,000,000.
Additional contributions included 120 meal boxes and 100 replacement t-shirts for Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) volunteers in South Jakarta.
YIIM also commissioned and distributed 5,000 reusable cloth masks tailored by local MSME seamstresses, empowering small enterprises while protecting low-income and informal workers.
Furthermore, YIIM distributed 280 prepared food packages alongside 120 grocery and vitamin C kits for vulnerable daily wage earners across multiple Jakarta areas, including Jagakarsa, Margonda Depok, Pasar Senen, Bendungan Hilir (Benhil), Karet, Palmerah, Rawasari, Cempaka Putih, Tanjung Priok, and Pasar Kosambi.
Education remained another critical pillar of YIIM’s response, delivering over 500 home-study stationery packages for underprivileged students and data connectivity stipends for more than 50 teachers lacking institutional internet support for online instruction.
Chrisbiantoro, Chairperson of YIIM, stated: "We sincerely hope this clothing assistance eases the burdens of our healthcare workers, who face severe constraints in accessing clean apparel due to their selfless dedication to caring for hospital patients without going home."
Chrisbiantoro added: "We will overcome Covid-19 much faster if all members of society strictly abide by health protocols and work together to prevent viral transmission."
Representing the medical staff at Wisma Atlet, Dr. Arifin shared his deep appreciation: "We extend our profound thanks to YIIM and Insight Investments Management. Having clean clothes is vital for our hygiene and shields health workers from viruses that might cling to our daily attire during demanding clinical shifts."
PT Insight Investments Management echoed this support, calling for national solidarity in the pandemic response.
PT Insight representative Didi Hernadi emphasized: "This assistance demonstrates our resolute commitment to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with all national elements, extending full support to the medical heroes battling on the frontlines of this prolonged pandemic."
This aid builds upon prior emergency actions by YIIM and PT Insight, including a March 24, 2020 initiative providing disinfectant supplies through PMI South Jakarta and BAZNAS for sanitizing public facilities and places of worship.
These collaborative humanitarian actions directly reinforce Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 3: Good Health and Well-Being, established under the United Nations 2030 Agenda.
Moreover, the initiative aligns with Minister of Health Regulation (Permenkes) Number 8 of 2019 on Community Empowerment in Health, particularly Article 3, which mandates cross-sector collaboration among civil society, public institutions, and private enterprises.
YIIM reaffirms its dedication to uplifting healthcare personnel and vulnerable communities until Indonesia achieves complete recovery from the Covid-19 crisis.
Salam Inspirasi!
