Yayasan Inspirasi Indonesia Membangun (YIIM), through its Humanitarian, Social, and Religious Program supported by PT Insight Investments Management (PT Insight Investments), takes an active role in providing social and religious assistance. One tangible effort was providing clean water support through the construction of a drilled bore well at Pondok Pesantren Riyadhul Huffadz, located in Sopa Village, Kindang District, Bulukumba Regency, South Sulawesi Province. The location is in an area prone to severe clean water scarcity during dry seasons. Boarding students (*santri*) and nearby villagers experienced great difficulty accessing clean water for daily needs as local natural springs dried up.

The construction process for the clean water bore well began on March 5, 2024, and was completed on March 20, 2024. The bore well assistance provided reached a depth of 40 meters, complemented by a water tower storage tank with a capacity of 5,000 liters. The maintenance of the bore well system, including the water pump and electrical supply, has been entrusted to the administrative management of the boarding school.

Prior to the bore well assistance, teachers and students faced severe hardships obtaining potable water during dry periods. Following the completion of the well, beneficiaries now enjoy reliable access to clean water year-round. Daily water requirements for students and nearby villagers are adequately met, significantly improving community health and well-being.

This initiative supports one of the government’s three national development priorities: Superior Human Resources (SDM Unggul), acknowledging that access to clean water and decent sanitation is a foundational determinant of human health. The program also aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially SDG 3: Ensure Healthy Lives and Promote Well-Being for All at All Ages, SDG 6: Ensure Availability and Sustainable Management of Clean Water and Sanitation for All, and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals.

YIIM is a non-profit organization dedicated to aiding people from all backgrounds, established by social and humanitarian advocates. To achieve this mission, YIIM remains receptive to partnerships, support, and contributions from all sectors so that vital aid reaches beneficiaries in need.
