In commemoration of National Children’s Day, the Indonesian Inspiration to Build Foundation (YIIM) together with PT. Insight Investments Management (INSIGHT) organized a humanitarian social program providing educational and social aid for children with disabilities, rare diseases, children of waste pickers, street children, children of fishermen, and children from underprivileged communities. This aid program was implemented from July 22nd to early August 2022.

The educational and social aid distributed to beneficiaries totaled 295 aid packages, consisting of 236 educational aid packages including stationery, notebooks, drawing books, drawing pencils, children’s snacks, and children’s storybooks. Furthermore, there were 20 packages of children’s health social aid consisting of UHT milk, children’s diapers, dry tissues, wet tissues, Oreo biscuits, Roma biscuits, and 36 packages of social aid consisting of children’s milk and children’s snacks.

On this occasion, the Director of PT Insight Investments Management (Insight), Ria M. Warganda, explained that the provision of educational & health social aid organized by Insight and YIIM in commemoration of National Children’s Day (HAN) 2022 is in line with the social responsibility that Insight consistently carries out.

“On the occasion of National Children’s Day 2022, Insight and YIIM provided social aid totaling 292 educational and health packages to children with cancer, disabilities, street children, children of waste pickers and fishermen in five locations spread across Jakarta and Bekasi. This social aid is a manifestation of Insight’s consistency in supporting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to end hunger, eradicate all forms of poverty, and ensure quality, equitable, and inclusive education, and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all, especially for children in need.” Said Ria M. Warganda.

Ria also hopes that Indonesian children will continue to maintain their enthusiasm for learning despite all their limitations.

The aid was distributed to 5 locations in the Special Capital Region (DKI) Jakarta province, as follows:

50 packages of children’s educational aid and 20 packages of social aid for 27 child cancer patients under the care of the Laskar Aferesis Berbagi Foundation (YLAB) at the Dharmais Cancer Hospital, West Jakarta.

50 packages of children’s educational aid for 50 children of waste pickers under the care of Pelangi Semesta Alam Kindergarten in the Bantar Gebang Final Disposal Site area, Bekasi.

36 packages of children’s educational aid and 36 packages of social aid consisting of milk and snacks for 36 children with disabilities and rare diseases under the care of the Indonesian Rare Disorder Community in the South Jakarta area.

50 packages of children’s educational aid for 50 street children and children of waste pickers in the Keramat Jati area, East Jakarta, under the care of Rumah Langit Baru in the Keramat Jati area, East Jakarta.

50 packages of children’s educational aid for 50 children of traditional fishermen in Kaliadem, Muara Angke, North Jakarta.

This program is aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) agenda number 3 on good health and well-being and number 4 on quality education.
