On October 10, 11, and 12, 2020, Yayasan Inspirasi Indonesia Membangun (YIIM), with the steadfast support of PT Insight Investments Management, distributed 573 relief packages containing basic foodstuffs and multivitamins to survivors of the catastrophic earthquake, tsunami, and liquefaction that struck Central Sulawesi in September 2018.

The humanitarian aid was distributed across four villages—Loli Saluran Village, Loli Tasiburi Village, Loli Dondo Village, and Loli Pesua Village—and three urban subdistricts (*kelurahan*), namely Tanjung Batu, Labuan Bajo, and Boya in Donggala Regency. Most survivors continue to reside in Temporary Shelters (Huntara) provided by the government. Since the disaster wiped out their settlements, families have suffered the loss of stable livelihoods and persistent difficulties meeting basic subsistence needs. Previously, the majority worked as informal daily laborers in local quarry mines or artisanal coastal fishers, but many have remained unemployed or underemployed ever since.

Recognizing these severe vulnerabilities, YIIM intervened to ease the burdens of survivor communities, particularly as the Covid-19 pandemic further threatened food security and household stability. This initiative aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 2: Zero Hunger and Sustainable Nutrition. The food packages consisted of premium rice, instant noodles, sugar, eggs, biscuits, cooking oil, and vitamins. For community census verification and distribution, YIIM partnered with "Sulteng Bergerak", a trusted local advocacy coalition that has actively assisted disaster survivors in Central Sulawesi since 2018.

Firmansyah, representing Sulteng Bergerak, conveyed sincere gratitude to YIIM and PT Insight Investments Management: "This assistance is extraordinarily meaningful for the community, as surviving inside the temporary shelters remains exceptionally challenging. From our direct field surveys, numerous residents still lack stable employment and survive solely on precarious casual labor. This food assistance brings immense relief to their daily struggle."
