On November 13, 2019, Yayasan Inspirasi Indonesia Membangun (YIIM), in collaboration with PT Perkebunan Nusantara (PTPN) XII Jember Region, East Java Province, held a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of a new school library at Public Elementary School (SDN) 01 Curah Takir, situated in Curah Takir Village, Tempurejo (Sempurejo) District, Jember, East Java.

The library is being erected on a 54-square-meter plot of land and is slated for completion by mid-December 2019. Alongside the physical structure, YIIM will provide essential interior furnishings and educational assets, including bookshelves, reading desks, chairs, and an extensive collection of curated school reading books.

The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by the School Committee and regional representatives of PTPN XII Jember. The Principal of SDN 01 Curah Takir, Mrs. Supriani, expressed her sincere gratitude to YIIM and the Plantation Pension Fund (Dapenbun) of PT Perkebunan Nusantara for providing dedicated funding and infrastructure support to foster student literacy.

During the event, Didin, representing YIIM, shared a warm message with the attendees, emphasizing the importance of maintaining and caring for the facility together so that it continually inspires students to read and learn with greater enthusiasm.

This library construction project aligns harmoniously with YIIM’s institutional vision: to inspire communities through compassion, social solidarity, and affirmative action, prominently realized by upgrading educational facilities in underserved rural areas.
