On April 6, 2021, Yayasan Inspirasi Indonesia Membangun (YIIM) and the Witness and Victim Protection Agency of the Republic of Indonesia (LPSK RI) formally executed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Psychosocial Rehabilitation for LPSK Protected Witnesses and Victims. This signing ceremony formalized a strategic expansion of the productive institutional collaboration cultivated between YIIM and LPSK since 2020. The event took place at the LPSK Headquarters, Jalan Raya Bogor KM 24 No. 47–49, Ciracas, East Jakarta.

Since September 2020, YIIM has partnered closely with LPSK to deliver targeted entrepreneurship and vocational training programs tailored for protected criminal case witnesses and victims. These capacity-building modules aim to equip beneficiaries with actionable skills to achieve socioeconomic independence. Offered vocational courses include coffee barista skills, barbering, air conditioner servicing and washing, culinary arts, and professional cosmetology. In addition, across February and March 2021, YIIM distributed educational kits and medical health packages to support the children of LPSK protected persons.

This holistic empowerment framework aligns directly with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 1: No Poverty, SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth, and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals.

The memorandum was officially signed by Chrisbiantoro, Chairman of the YIIM Executive Board, and Hasto Atmojo Suroyo, Chairman of LPSK RI, witnessed by LPSK Vice Chairpersons and executive leadership.

Delivering his address, Chrisbiantoro expressed appreciation for the ongoing alliance: "YIIM is deeply honored by the enduring collaboration we have built. This MoU marks our firm commitment to deepening this partnership and expanding empowerment interventions for protected persons. We trust that this synergy will continue to thrive and touch more protected witnesses and victims so that they can regain economic self-sufficiency."

Chrisbiantoro further underscored, "We hope this empowerment initiative delivers tangible social impact for witnesses and victims under LPSK’s aegis. YIIM is committed to contributing civil society expertise as an active partner of LPSK in advancing holistic psychosocial rehabilitation."

Conveying reciprocal enthusiasm, LPSK Chairman Hasto Atmojo Suroyo noted: "We extend our gratitude to YIIM for this enduring cooperation. LPSK has documented significant numbers of protected persons who have benefited from these entrepreneurship workshops, with several having successfully launched self-sustaining businesses. This represents a meaningful breakthrough in our psychosocial rehabilitation agenda, as LPSK relies on strategic partnerships with civil society organizations like Yayasan Inspirasi Indonesia Membangun."

Hasto concluded, "May this collaboration continue to generate positive outcomes for all stakeholders and empower even more protected individuals in the years ahead."
