On February 19, 2020, Yayasan Inspirasi Indonesia Membangun (YIIM) delivered financial assistance amounting to Rp 10,000,000 (ten million rupiah) to Yayasan Bustanul Aitam Ulim to support the construction of dormitory rooms for its orphanage, which has been in operation since September 28, 1999, in Keude Ulim Village, Ulim Sub-district, Pidie Jaya Regency, Aceh. The aid was officially received in person by the Head of Yayasan Bustanul Aitam Ulim, Tgk. Ilyas Ibrahim, S.Ag.

Yayasan Bustanul Aitam is dedicated to the care, guardianship, and character development of orphans, impoverished youths, and abandoned or vulnerable children. The foundation was originally established in the late 1990s to protect children from families affected by armed conflict in the Ulim area and across Aceh. Over decades of service, the home has sheltered, supported, and educated earthquake and tsunami survivors until adulthood. Currently, the dormitory shelters 40 foster children: 1 child with mental disabilities who is out of school, 1 elementary (SD/MI) student, 27 junior high (SLTP/MTs) students, and 11 senior high/vocational (SLTA/MA/SMK) students.

The dormitory construction grant represents a noble stewardship managed by YIIM using corporate social responsibility (CSR) funds from PT Insight Investments Management. The assistance is intended to provide dignified, safe, and hygienic residential quarters for the children to pursue their religious devotion and education on par with other children. This initiative actively advances the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including poverty alleviation, the promotion of well-being across all ages, and equitable learning opportunities for all.

YIIM Leader Chrisbiantoro explained that this aid reflects the foundation’s steadfast concern for ensuring conducive living conditions so foster children can excel academically. The financial contribution is intended to jumpstart physical construction immediately.

“The construction of this dormitory is urgently needed as a sanctuary for nurturing, educating, and sheltering orphans, the underprivileged, and homeless or vulnerable children in Ulim Sub-district, Pidie Jaya. We hope these children will soon inhabit a decent, comfortable, and dignified home,” Chrisbiantoro stated.

Upon accepting the grant, Head of Yayasan Bustanul Aitam Ulim, Tgk. Ilyas Ibrahim, S.Ag, expressed his profound gratitude: “We extend our deepest appreciation to YIIM and PT Insight Investments Management for this funding support, allowing the construction of 4 dormitory rooms to commence immediately for the enduring benefit of our foster children.”

YIIM firmly believes that every act of solidarity will continue to inspire society to uphold empathy and tangible advocacy for those most vulnerable.

Salam Inspirasi!
