Yayasan Inspirasi Indonesia Membangun (YIIM) channeled renovation and expansion assistance for Masjid Jami Kurnia in Cikole Girang, Garut Regency, West Java, increasing worship capacity and ensuring greater comfort for local congregants.

Since its establishment in 1963, Jami Kurnia Mosque has stood as the vital hub for religious gatherings and communal fellowship for residents of Cikole Girang Hamlet RT 01 RW 06, Wanasari Village, Garut Regency, West Java. As the sole house of worship in the area, the mosque plays an indispensable role in maintaining the social fabric and spiritual well-being of the local community.
With steady population growth and increasing communal participation, the mosque’s previous capacity—limited to approximately 110 congregants—frequently fell short, particularly during congregational prayers, regular religious study circles, and major religious celebrations.
To address this pressing community need, additional grant funding was disbursed to accelerate the physical renovation and completion of the mosque, reinforcing a meaningful partnership that has flourished since 2015. The dedicated financial assistance enabled the full completion of structural expansion and the refinement of worship facilities.
Following the expansion, the capacity of Jami Kurnia Mosque has more than doubled, accommodating up to 250 congregants safely and comfortably. This enhanced community infrastructure is expected to foster deeper devotion in worship while strengthening rural social solidarity and community resilience.
This religious and community infrastructure initiative aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), notably SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities) by ensuring adequate and inclusive communal facilities, as well as SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) through sustainable multi-stakeholder collaboration for community impact.
Salam Inspirasi!
