On 6 October 2020, the Inspirasi Indonesia Membangun Foundation (YIIM), in collaboration with Titan Baking, held an online Baking Class (cooking class) featuring the Mini Fruit Pie recipe. This event was fully supported by PT Insight Investment Management, an investment management company with a strong commitment to social and humanitarian causes in Indonesia. This is in line with PT Insight’s principle of Transforming Investments Into Social Impact.

Overall, the training was attended by 19 participants, all of whom were women with diverse backgrounds, including pre-prosperous individuals, odd-job workers, and others from various social backgrounds affected by COVID-19, particularly those with an interest in culinary business and developing the culinary ventures they had already started.

The training was led by Chef Wendi, who taught the making of a crispy fruit pie. In this session, the training concept was a demonstration conducted by Chef Wendi, who practiced how to make the fruit pie step by step, from preparing the crust to the filling of the fruit pie.

During the event, participants who followed the session through the Zoom application from their respective homes were given the opportunity to ask questions directly to Chef Wendi.

To reward participants who actively asked questions and participated in the training, Titan Baking provided goodie bags and fruit pie ingredients that the participants could practice at home.

Meanwhile, YIIM and PT Insight Investment Management also provided additional assistance to participants in the form of merchandise consisting of bottled coffee from Kopi Inspirasi, masks for participants in Jakarta, and internet data packages for participants outside Jakarta.

The participants who took part in the event were as follows:

Dwi Anggita Laksmi, a representative from PT Insight, who is usually called Gita, expressed her appreciation for this event. “We hope that the trainings we organize can continue to strengthen community resilience, particularly economic resilience in facing the COVID-19 pandemic.”
